Cape Ann had sustained just five inches of snowfall for the winter through Jan. 25. The Blizzard of 2015 dropped 31 inches of snow on Jan. 26-27. Ensuing storms through Feb. 22 accumulated a total of roughly eight feet of snow. Structural concerns forced a shutdown of several businesses, including Shaw’s Market, Family Dollar store, Fastenal, and Consumer Auto Parts.
