The 126-foot bell tower’s tilting was corrected by a slow internal shoring and jacking process, with 40- to 60-foot steel beams installed inside the tower’s wooden frame. The repair costs for the tower’s upper section was $1.3 million, including repair to the exterior and painting. Another $500,000 to $750,000 was needed to fix the lower half.
