Considered a lost film, Bride 13 was a 15-part serial film where thirteen brides are kidnapped by pirates. For the film, a fake castle of wood and plaster was built on Salt Island. There were mishaps throughout filming, including the loss of the first set to a tornado and the near loss of a stunt man (in costume as a heroine) to a rouge hot air balloon used in the filming. As part of the film, the castle was blown up, though it took multiple attempts.
