The Harveys’ artistic relationship continued to develop during their marriage. Painter George often based his work on Martha’s photographs, and Martha then photographed George’s paintings, establishing a record and an example for comparing the two artistic mediums. They established adjoining studios in 1894 at 47 River Road in Annisquam and supported themselves with their artwork.
