Known as “The Iron Lady of Gloucester,” she was renowned for her unceasing advocacy for seniors, including serving 24 years as the chairperson of the Council on Aging and her work for the Department of Elder Affairs. She was the driving force behind the effort to build the senior center that bears her name.
