Samuel Gott, who built a house near the entrance of present-day Halibut Point State Park, sold his brother-in-law William Andrews, of Chebacco, three lots by “a Cove usually called Hoop Pole Cove.” William and his wife raised their family there, which would become present-day Andrews Point.
