This Meeting House was most likely built on Beacon Hill (also called Meeting House Hill, Governor’s Hill). An order for a burial ground, close to the “old meeting house” suggests a location close to the First Parish Burial Ground. An early deed refers to “Meeting House Hill” while later references are to “Meeting House Plain.”
