Kennametal Inc. from Pennslyvania owned the property for a little over a year before announcing that it was selling, although no details were originally announced. In the preceding months, the property’s owners requested the demolition of the Paint Factory for the development of condominiums, which was denied by the state’s Department of Environmental Protection since the building is located on tidelands.
