The pageant entitled “Gloucester” was written by James Pringle and presented at Stage Fort Park under the direction of Miss Mildred Peabody, with music provided by the Salem Cadet Band. The scenes highlighted the history of the area. An epilogue of Mrs.Phelps-Ward’s poem “Gloucester” emphasized Gloucester women’s contributions.
